Bio: Sydney Westfall is a Data Scientist at Premier, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, specializing in healthcare analytics. Sydney’s career began as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and includes research in immunology labs.  At Premier, Sydney develops statistical and machine learning models to evaluate hospital performance and enhance internal products. She contributes to initiatives like PINC AI™’s Clinical Health and Social Needs Index, focusing on improving healthcare through data-driven insights.  She presented at the Women in Data Science conference on using data science to advance health equity, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to innovative healthcare solutions. She holds an MS in Health Informatics and Analytics from UNC Charlotte and a BS in Immunology and Medical Microbiology from WVU.
