Professionally, Shane has worked in the financial service industry for over 25 years, taking on various senior roles in US and foreign banks and global consulting firms. Shane spent time as an Auction Rate Agent at Bankers Trust, Client Services Analyst at Barclays Bank, a Derivatives Risk Manager at Citi Bank, and at Societe General he held several roles as an IT Lending Business Analyst SME and the Internal Controller for the US Debt Financing Team, to name a few. He became an expat project manager on special assignment in Societe Generale’s headquarters in Paris, France and later returned to New York as the Deputy COO of Americas Operations. Later on, Shane transitioned his career into consulting where he utilized his industry banking expertise at multiple consulting firms and later joined the global French management consulting firm Sia Partners as a partner in their New York office heading up their Corporate Banking and Commercial Lending practice. Shane later relocated to start the Sia Partners office in Charlotte. While at Sia Partners, he has held various roles including Group Chief Client Officer and is now part of the US Financial Services practice leading Business and Account Development. Shane is also a member of the Sia Partners US Management Leadership Team and the Global Banking Leadership Team.
Sia Partners is one of the top global Data Science Consulting firms and one of the missions of Sia Partners leadership team is to grow our Data Science practice globally, including generating a larger share of data science-related revenue from all clients. Since moving to Charlotte, Shane has been active in the local Fintech ecosystem, partnering with RevTech Labs and he has been on the UNC Charlotte School of Data Science Industry Advisory Board as one of the founding advisory board members. Shane and Sia Partners have been actively mentoring and recruiting from the School of Data Science, including offering summer internships to SDS students. Shane holds a BS in Finance from Peter J Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University, an MBA from John Chambers College of Business and Economics at WVU, and a Master’s in International Business From Grenoble Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France.
