Doug Jennings is a Finance and Analytics Executive with 28 years of experience leading high-performance teams. Currently, he holds the position of Vice President of Corporate Finance at Lowe’s Companies, Inc. Throughout his career, Doug has been a key partner to CEO staff-level executives, driving forward strategy, investments, long-range financial expectations, strategic initiatives, and annual operating plans. Doug has extensive experience in both start-up and multinational firms, and he has played a crucial role as the finance lead on numerous domestic and international investment transactions and M&A activities. As a finance and analytical leader supporting CEO staff-level decisions, Doug oversees a team that provides value offerings to all business units in Lowe’s. This includes assimilating consumer, operational, and market data to identify market spaces for strategic development. He also facilitates strategic growth planning sessions with CEO staff and models future scenarios to identify growth options and vehicles based on the home improvement industry fundamentals and consumer sentiment.
Throughout his career, Doug has held various leadership positions at Lowe’s, including Vice President – Data, Analytics, and Customer Insights, VP Finance – Group Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for Business Development. In these roles, he has provided financial and analytical decision support for different business units, developed long-range plans and operational forecasts, and led the economic analysis for special sales and store operations. He is also a Founding Member of the School of Data Science and a member of the Industry Advisory Board at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Doug holds an MBA from the University of Arizona – Eller College of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from North Carolina State University.
